SU awarded Gold Award

The University of Plymouth Students’ Union (UPSU) has achieved the Investors in People Gold (IIP) Standard for the second time in a row, by retaining Gold status UPSU is now part of the top 1% of UK organisations recognised by IIP. The award recognises organisations for going above and beyond in the way they develop, support and motivate their employees.
The Investors in People Standard is the benchmark of good people management practice to ensure that organisations deliver. Designed by world leading academics, practitioners and industry experts, the framework reflects the latest workplace trends and leading practices. The most recent assessment UPSU undertook this March, was under the new Investors in People 6 framework with refreshed, tougher criteria than the previous award. This award sets UPSU apart as one of the top five employers in Plymouth, helping define what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results.
