On Sunday 7th October some of the Students' Union clubs and societies took part in the Plymouth 10k, raising a total of £8,020 for charity. The University of Plymouth Netball club raised £3,570 with the Marrow Society raising £2,555, along with many other student groups contributing to the fundraising total. Hundreds of University of Plymouth students took on the challenge across the city for various reasons and causes - whether it be to reach a personal goal or for an inspiring cause.
Ben Morris Vice President of Sport
“Some great times were posted by these students and it’s great that they raised so much money for charity. I would like to see more students groups getting involved in events like this in the city and showing the community the great contribution students make to the city”
Charlotte Panchaud Vice President Activities and Development
“It was great to see our societies involved in the Plymouth 10k on Sunday! It’s brilliant to see societies raising money for charity and looking after their wellbeing through physical activity”
