Accredited by ITC and provided by Really Good First Aid, this Level 3 qualification is designed to provide essential life saving skills.
Topics include:
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Assessing incidents
- Dealing with collapse (with and without breathing)
- Choking
- Bleeding
- Shock
- Seizures
- Minor workplace incidents
- Using first aid kit
Typical delivery methods are predominantly practical, and the course is assessed by continual observation of candidate performance. A certificate will be issued on completion of the session.
Discounts are available to designated First Aiders of a UPSU Sports Club or Society. These discounted tickets are limited to a certain number per a club/society. If you are purchasing one of these discounted tickets, you should have permission to do so from your club's/society's committee. Your membership status of a club/society will be verified by UPSU's Student Development team.
