Welcome to
The Volunteer Department is here to develop and promote student volunteering in the community and can help you find the perfect activity to enhance your studies; learn new skills; meet people and have fun; access free training; or do something completely different and challenging!
There are lots of opportunities and projects which students at the University of Plymouth are involved such as planting trees; supporting refugees and asylum seekers; serving lunches to older people; supporting young people with learning disabilities; spending the day at the sea making the beach a better place for everyone; creating wildlife gardens, and many more.
New projects are being created all the time, ranging from cultural workshops in schools to sports activities with young people.
RELAYS (Regional Educational Legacy in Arts and Youth Sport) has been designed to inspire young people to participate in, create and promote sporting and cultural activities in the South West. RELAYS focuses on three main themes – sport wellbeing; arts and culture; and knowledge and learning. Volunteers have the exciting opportunity to help plan, co-ordinate and run events and activities around the region. Training and t-shirts are provided!
Volunteering in Plymouth (ViP) is a student led organisation and they actively help with the running of projects, raising of funds for their international projects, and organising of social events for all volunteers amongst many other things!
