As such, they are a prestigious mark of excellence in student volunteering.
From unsung heroes to those who have defied the odds, or shown remarkable leadership, each year, the Gold Awards reward a select band of special student volunteers. In particular they reward leadership, dedication and achievement.
This year UPSU had the pleasure in awarding 5 students the Awards and received the Student Volunteering Gold Award certificate in recognition of their hard work.

 UPSU Volunteer Awards Results!

The Results of the upsu: Volunteer Awards are in!
The awards took place on the 3rd April

The Barbican Theatre played host to the annual Volunteer Awards which celebrate the outstanding

Volunteering in UPSU saw another amazing year in 2009. Record numbers of students signed up and were involved in volunteering. 482 students accessed free training, ranging from child protection, safe tool handling, delivering an environmental project, to first aid. New projects and partnerships were formed; events such as the Fairtrade Fashion Show and the One World Week Tea Dance were huge successes; long-standing and fledgling projects went from strength to strength; and the Railway Projects that work to maintain and beautify rural branch line stations, won the Outstanding Project Award at the Higher Education Volunteering Awards. A pretty good year I think you would agree.

The Awards are designed to say an enormous thank you to all the volunteers and massive congratulations for all their dedication, hard-work, commitment, enthusiasm, and tea drinking. All the volunteers should be extremely proud. Thank you, you are fantastic!
