The Autumn term can be a very exciting time for lots of people. For many students it will be their first time away from home, they will be meeting new people and experiencing new things. For some, this means partying hard and perhaps drinking and having sex. Easy Tiger and the Students’ Union are here to make sure that if students want to partake in these things that they do them as SAFELY as possible.
Play Safely, Party Safely and Drink Safely, will be the all important buzz words floating around the Students’ Union. During the campaign week an abundance of promotional material will be displayed to reinforce this message. UPSU will be working with outside organizations, such as Drink-Aware and Devon and Cornwall Police to ensure the message is dispersed as widely as possible.
Easy Tiger! is designed to inform students about alcohol awareness, spiking, safe sex and opting out of alcohol in a fun and friendly way. It is aimed at all students reminding them that they can choose whether or not to drink or have sex, and that everyone has the right to say no.
Keep an eye out for the Easy Tiger mascot bouncing around the campus offering passing students goodie bags full of freebies and literature supporting the message, including: bottles of water, condoms, shhh lollies and taxi numbers.
