We know that amazing things happen at University through the many student communities that the SU has and we want to make sure that they are getting the recognition they deserve.

By completing this form, this story will be hosted on upsu.com within the SU news site and will then be shared through the SU social channels Facebook and Instagram as well as through SU emails and University student bulletins.

How to submit a success story
  • Please enter your name and email below.
  • Then you need to choose whether to complete the online form or submit a word document with the details required, and either upload additional media details or provide a link to these.
  • Please complete the form/ word document as thoroughly as possible, it is better to give more information to help us shape the story.
  • The information provided is your responsibility and it is your responsibility to ensure that the people involved in the story are happy to be included.
  • It is the SU Communications and Digital Team’s right to choose what is published, their decision is final regarding the content.
  • Please provide any links to external sources of information that you feel will be beneficial in us creating the article.
  • You will be contacted by the Communications and Digital team if they need any further information and for feedback on your story.
  • Once you submit the form it will go through to Communication and Digital team at UPSU who will work on generating your information into an article.
  • Please note that the total file size of files that you upload must be under 5MB. The form will not submit successfully otherwise.

The word document must include:

  • Who was involved? (Is this a story about yourself or someone else, was it an individual or group activity, a sports club/ society/ school or course rep? Include student names, group name/ role of those involved)
  • What was the activity? (This will be used as the main information to shape the title of the article)
  • When did this happen? (Provide the date/ dates/ period for the event)
  • Where did this happen?
  • Why did the activity take place? (Was there a reason behind this, doing it for charity or sporting competition)
  • Your article content (This could include additional information you'd like covered in the article)
  • Quotes and their name and role/title (Quotes from those involved, what was good/ went well, why it was important)
  • URL link to a video/ picture/ pictures (These must be hosted somewhere such as Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube)

Optional items:

  • Social Media Links (URL links to a post/ page/ group on social media, Facebook/ Instagram)
  • Contact information
