Why Join Us?

The society is a friendly environment for like-minded people who are keen on helping the environment and raising awareness about local biodiversity.

We can offer experience and volunteering opportunities for students that are on biology-related modules to grow their CPD portfolio, however it is open to people with different backgrounds who also have a passion for ecology. We hope to make it both a fun and informative space for anyone to join!

Our aim

We would like to give a contribute to local projects and raise awareness around campus. We want to support charities and people currently working within the sector through fundraising events but also by volunteering and actively taking part through experiences such as surveying, data collecting, planting etc. 

Workshops and external speakers will also give members skills and knowledge on wildlife, foraging and how to make your life more sustainable. 

We will also be holding socials which can include a simple picnic in the park or a night out at the pub!
