UoP Motorsport Club

Bored of all those same old sports you always play, want to live life in the fast lane, then join the university of Plymouth motorsports club.

Our main form of motorsport is karting, as it’s the easiest and cheapest form of motorsport for a university club to get involved with. We compete in many karting events, including the BUKC (British University’s Karting Championship), The 24 hour race of Le Mans, trips to our local track at Dunkerswell, social nights out on the streets of Plymouth, attending motorsport shows as well as much much more.

We cater for people who just have an interest in cars to people who have been competing and want to continue that by racing with our University karting team that competes in the competitive BUKC (British University Karting Championship) where weve ranked in the top 10 for the past 4 years (against over 35 other unis) as well as at the LeMans karting 24hour and British Teeside 24hour races in the summer, the former of which we won this year. Moreover we train every wednesday at either St. Eval or Dunkeswell kart tracks and hold events throughout the year visits shows and other race meetings eg BTCC events with regular socials every fortnight. 

Entry to the club is £15, along with this small entry fee you will also receive a free motorsports t-shirt, as well as being a full member of the club. Don’t hesitate and join today.
