2009 - 10

The ‘Big One’ is an annual survey that has been completed by its members for the past 4 years and is based around all the services UPSU provides. The survey is an online incentivised questionnaire which is completed by using a stratified random sampling method.

For this event we compiled a short survey to ascertain what students thought of this new format of event. The response rate was (342) representing an approximate 10% response rate.

During February, March & April 2009 we went out into the local area to complete a number of face-to-face interviews. Residents we selected randomly and asked a series of question. The responses form the basis of this report. During this time we conducted 100 interviews.

This survey was conducted from October 8th – October 29th geared towards the Univeristy of Plymouth first years. The survey was available online at www.upsu.com. In total we had 414 students take part in the questionnaire
