The University of Plymouth Labour Society
Welcome to the site for the University of Plymouth Labour Society (UPLS)
We are a group of students that believe in the Labour movement and are affiliated to the National Organisation of Labour Students (NOLS). The NOLS is affialiated to the Labour Party but remains a completly independent body, allowing students that believe in the Labour movement to effectively question current policy.
You do not have to be a 'Labour Lovie' to be a member of Labour students but if you believe in our fundamental principles then this society is for you.
That by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of many not the few, where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe, and where we live together, freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect
