The University of Plymouth Students' Union (UPSU) holds sustainability and ethics at the core of its purpose as a social enterprise - recognised by our commitement within our organisational strategic objectives.
In partnership with the University of Plymouth - a university that is consistently recognised as one of the most sustainable universities in the country - UPSU continues to strive to reduce its impact on the environment, to contribute to an ethical world and to help educate its members to raise awareness of individual impact.
UPSU is a recognised Fairtrade organisation and is accredited with the Carbon Trust under their Energy Efficiency Accreditation Scheme (both in partnership with UoP).
As a Students' Union we are also annually audited through the NUSSL Sound Impact Awards and, at the time of writing, is submitting evidence for a 'Green Gown Award' for its environmental excellence.
The Green Agenda is the umbrella brand used as a vehicle for promotion of sustainability on campus and has been adopted for use by both the Students' Union and the University.
