This is a fun-filled, introduction to the world of sailing, with the opportunity to sail in the picturesque Plymouth Sound. The L2S course is aimed at ages between 16-25 years- there's no need to have prior experience. On the L2S course you will through a structured syllabus and as well as having the opportunity to sail in a variety of keelboats and dinghies.

VENUE
The session takes place at the Mount Batten Watersports Centre

DATES
This is a course of 6 sessions running on Saturdays:

First Session: February 14th
Students are advised to meet an UPSU delegate on top of the SU at 09:15 for the first session; you will then be shown the way to the ferry.

February 21st
February 28th
March 7th
March 14th
March 21st

All sessions will run from 10:00 until 13:00.

COST
The cost of the 6-session course is only £36.00 (£6.00 per session) Maximum of 12 places!
This price includes MBC session fee, qualified instructors, Mountbatten onsite facilities, all sailing equipment, protective clothing, including wetsuits as well as return transport to MBC on the water taxi!

TRANSPORT
The water taxi tickets and forms will be available for collection from the Hive from February 2nd.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
After signing up to the course, print your proof of purchase and take to the Hive reception. You will be asked to complete 2 forms. You can then collect your water taxi tickets.

Students will need to bring:

1.    Costume or swimming shorts to wear under the wetsuit
2.    Wet shoes (trainers or wetsuit boots suitable)
3.    Warm fleece to go over the given wetsuit
4.    Lunch and water bottle
