This page details some of the achievements that have been made as a direct result of Course Reps tirelessly campaigning for change.
We have had some great news from the Teaching and Learning Directorate!
The University, in response to comments from students and feedback from the National Student Survey and Student Perception Questionnaire, will now accept double sided printing for all coursework submissions WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT!
All default settings on student printer/copiers have now been changed to double-sided.
We need you to circulate this to all of your co-hort – whether via email or an announcement at the begging of a lecture – this is a great win for students, both to save money and the environment – so please get the message out to as many people as possible!

Good News! After a meeting with the Vice Chancellor yesterday morning, your Sabbatical Team are delighted to announce that students continued lobbying of the University has worked!
By May 1st the Seale Hayne University Library will be operating a 24 hour service to students – this is expected to run through out the year.
Meetings to finalise specific details will be held over the coming weeks – but after a conversation with Penny Holland the Director and Information and Learning Services we are pleased to relay to you that there is expected to be a ‘core’ baseline of services provided.
This decision has definitely been influenced by our students continual pressure on the university, either through representation at university meetings, library forums that have been held or through comments made by students during the 24/7 Pilot last year.
We look forward to the confirmed details of the extended opening times from the university, but in the meantime felt that we should pass on the information to you as course reps for you to disseminate to your cohorts as you see appropriate.
Congratulations and Well Done for all your hard work!
