Dear UPSU member,
Let me introduce myself and explain why I should be your number one choice for Deputy President. I am a second year student currently studying International Financial Services. (Don’t want to bore you with the subject, but to sum up, it’s business related lol)
During my time at university, I have gotten involved with a wide range of responsibilities; such as being elected as the vice-chair of Musical Theatre Group to support the society's day to day running. This involves dealing with sponsorship agreements, supporting and assisting productions, as well as promotional and fundraising activities. I have also been elected as the course representative to deal with fellow students' issues. I listen to their concerns and work hard to get to the heart of problems regarding their students’ life. My cheeky smile and lovely sense of humour also enables me to create a fun and enjoyable working atmosphere for the people around me.
I intend to build a strong relationship with our partner college students to allow them to truly become an important part of UPSU. I will encourage our partner colleges and UOP to share each others’ facilities for all academic faculties, sport clubs and societies. In addition, I am determined to increase the sale of NUS cards at partner colleges’ campuses, so students at partner colleges can enjoy the benefits just like us! As a result, more money will come back to your UPSU.
I can bring your voices together & put your vision into UPSU’s agenda. I’ll ensure your UPSU is always looking after you, sees things through your eyes, always thinks from your point of view. With your votes, we can take UPSU to the next level. We can make UPSU a widely recognised student organisation that will leave a trail for other student unions to follow.
