The Summer Ball
Chair: Dale Whitfield
Adventure & Expo is the club dedicated to getting outdoors and into the elements. The club is focused mainly around rock climbing, caving and mountaineering.
We run fortnightly trips around the country. Previous trips have included places such as the Peak District, Lake District, Snowdonia, Yorkshire Dales, Brecon Beacons and more.
As well as travelling the length and breadth of the country in pursuit of the best walks, climbs (and caves!) on offer, we frequently organise day trips out on Dartmoor, where there is plenty of good climbing, bouldering and hiking to be had.
We are in a position where we can offer guidance and support to anyone wanting to pursue these activities, whether at an advanced, intermediate or beginner level. All equipment required for these activities is provided by the club.
So get in touch, come see what we do, and join us for another year jam-packed full of outdoor activities!
We'd love to hear from you!

We are the University of Plymouth Amateur Boxing Club and we look to provide a friendly and safe environment for all members of the University to come and learn the "sweet science" of Amateur Boxing, regardless of ability or experience and you will never be asked to do something that you do not want to. We are coached under the watchful eye of Chris Butler but call him "Rab" he has been an ABAE (Amateur Boxing Association of England) coach for 10 years so he really knows his stuff but he teaches it in a funny and enjoyable way, so you never have to hesitate to ask him a question.
We will be training every Wednesday at 13.30 at Taraus gym just off of Mutley you can find it on Google maps. The cost of each session is £5 and will last until 15.00
The Gym is fully equipped with punch bags and punch mitts but also it contains a small boxing ring for sparing.
All you have to bring is yourself, normal sporting clothes ie shorts, t-shirts, tracky bottoms and a gum shield for sparing but don’t worry you will not be thrown straight into sparing until you have learnt the basics. However if you do own your own gloves your more than welcome to bring them along.
