English Language Center
The English Language Centre (ELC) offers English language support to all international students at Plymouth University. There are free classes where you can improve your English language skills and there are one-to-one tutorials where international students can sit down with an English language teacher and get help with their coursework. For more information about these free classes and tutorials send an email to elc@plymouth.ac.uk.
The ELC noticeboard is outside BLIS on floor 2 of the Cookworthy building and this has more information about classes and tutorials and there is a sign up sheet for tutorials. The ELC offices are 313,314 and 315 in the Cookworthy building.

International Events
The Students' Union runs various trips throughout the year to great locations all over England. This is a great way to meet new people and a chance to see what England has to offer!
If you would like any further information about the Trips Out below or would like to buy a ticket please call into the Hive in the Students’ Union.
If your visa is due to expire soon be sure to make an appointment as soon as possible( when you know you will have all your documents ready and application filled in)
Remember: if you have not yet attended a visa extension session, you must register to attend a session to collect infomation on how to fill int he new form. Email international.advice@plymouth.ac.uk to book your place or visit the International Office.
Other Events
International Food Festival - Postponed untill Mid-November
International Food Festival on the 24th November at 18:30. Students are asked to bring a dish which is then shared with others so everyone can try food from other cultures, so why not come along, show off your cooking skills and try something new.
Don't forget to save your receipts, the first 50 entries will be refunded up to £5 for their ingredients. All forms need to be returned to the Hive or via email
