If you have made a Tier 4(G) application, and have attended your biometric appointment, then your ID card should be returned to you approximately 4 or 5 weeks after your biometric appointment. Everyone at ISAS and the UKBA is working hard to process your application. Here is some information that may help you:
The normal processing time for visa applications, so far:
Once UKBA have recieved your application it is usually 4 or 5 weeks before your passport is returned to them. Once they have received your passport it will take approximately 1 or 2 weeks for your ID card to be sent to them.
If there is any errors on your new visa we will do our best to help you, however we cannot be held responsible for the work done by the UK Border Agency. The totel amount of time from submitting your application to an Advisor, to receiving your passport and ID card is approximately 8-12 weeks.
If you applied before the end of October 2009 and have not recieved your bimetric letter then please email them with your name and student number to : international.advice@plymouth.ac.uk
If you attended your biometric appointment more than 6 weeks ago, then please email internaitonal.advice@plymouth.ac.uk with your name and student number
